Hi,
My husband and I adopted
Montgeomery (Monty) on Jan. 10th.
and I just wanted you to see how
well he is doing!!. We did change
his name to RED becuase of his
beautiful red coat. Attached
are pictures of us at the beach
and at home in front of the
fireplace. Lying in front of
the fireplace is one of Red's
favorite spots. He is a
great dog!!!! He starts Obedience
Training this Monday. He has
come so far in one month that he
almost no longer needs the
training. He is so funny and makes
us laugh all the time. He is
spirted and loves to play, but he
can also be a big sleepyhead!! We
are so glad to have him and are
grateful for all the hard work you
do with these homeless animals.
Thanks Again,
Karen and Tom & RED!!

As a newlywed and first time homeowner, my husband and I knew the next
step was adding a puppy to our home. We decided to rescue a dog rather than
contacting a breeder, so we jumped on Petfinder.com, perused the shelters
closest to us and found The Animal Orphanage in Voorhees, NJ. After spotting
one special pooch, we decide to head down to the orphanage for a better
look. We spotted "Pinky" a brown and white lab/shepherd mix and
immediately fell in love. To our delight, "Pinky" was adoption
ready. Within two days of meeting "Pinky", he was ours to take
home - 4 days before Christmas 2005. Since coming home, "Pinky"
has been renamed "Donovan" and has settled into our home
beautifully. Donovan has been with us a little over a month and we can't
seem to remember life without him. Thank you to the wonderful folks at The
Animal Orphanage for taking good care of Donovan until we brought him home.

Hello,
I just wanted to give you an
update. Harlain is now doing well.
He is the cutest little devil you
have ever seen. We are going
slowly with his training because
even a loud voice scares him. We
are taking one step at a time,
next is leash training. We love
him to death and he is slowly
coming out of his shell ! My other
dog and him play and roll
around like they are
brothers.

Hello,
We
adopted
Georgia
(formerly known as Kelly) there yesterday and things are going beautifully.
Our three-quarter acre yard is perfect for her propensity to full-out run.
She is quite the squirrel chaser. Our terrier has a relationship with
the neighbor’s Shepard of chasing each other from opposite sides of the
fences, using audible signals and brief glimpses of each other through the
fence slats.
Georgia
has plugged right in to this practice with perfect intuition.
The
most amazing thing was that when it was time for bed, all the dogs are
dispatched to the various beds of their own. Georgia clearly was more
comfortable staying with us, curled up in the comforter, but with just a
couple of illustrations of which bed was hers to sleep in (and a little
while of laying with her) she seems to understand the order of things, and
returned to her own bed after a midnight visit to the backyard for relief.
All in one day. She’s so smart.
We
were hoping you could put us in touch with the shelter she came from in
Georgia
so that we might see if they could tell us more about her sad story.
We
haven’t had great opportunities for photos yet, but since purchasing our
camera in July we have several thousand of our other dogs, so you are sure
to get some up to date images of
Georgia
soon.
Thanks
for everything

Hello!
Attached are some pictures of
Twinkie, now Charlie. Twinkie is
really good. He is so happy,
I bought him a bed and he loves it
and sleeps on it. He skips
around and loves my house, he
loves being there, he's
funny. I brought him to the
groomer's for a bath, so he
is all clean now. I have my
other dog Cody, a chow, who I got
from the orphanage last year
(there's a pic of him too), and
him and Twinkie get along really
well. He is a very happy dog
now so I wanted to pass it on to
you.
Merry Christmas and Happy
New Year!

Hi to everyone at the Animal
Orphanage,
We just wanted to let you
know how much we LOVE Linus,
the dog we just adopted a few weeks
ago. He has the sweetest and
most gentle spirit! He is
getting along with our other doggies
very well and has especially
fallen in love with our beagle,
Lady. They follow one another
everywhere! I've attached a few
pictures for you of Linus in his new
home. Thank you so much, we
are so glad to have found him! Keep
up the good work with all of your
other pets.
Love, Rachel, Michael and
Stephen

A Merry Christmas to you and all
the doggies at the Animal
Orphanage....Stan and Lily send
special greetings...Lily is
still my little high energy
bully girl, who rules the roost
here. Nothing pleases her more
than to run on the 7 acres I
have in the mountains, chasing
wild turkeys and then snuggling
under the covers with me and
Stan. It's hard to believe that
it's been a year since I first
saw her on Petfinder...she's
come a long, long way. Attached
are some pictures of the
princess...in one of them, you
can see, she is wearing her
pearls.

Hey AO!
Just wanted to check in and
tell you how Riley and Will
are doing. We adopted Riley, a
black terrier mix, about 2
years ago, and she's
wonderful. We adopted Will
about 3 years ago. They both
love it at our house and have
their little hearts spoiled
out. They love Christmas, and
they've fallen into helping my
Mom and I with the tree each
year. Thank you for helping us
find them!
Kelly and Kathy Mulhern
